Marcos Vidal Font is an unorthodox sculptor. Inspired at the beginning by a Dadaist practice, his work develops and materializes in a critical dialogue with objects, very often as furniture pieces. Vidal experiments with the location of his creations in the exhibition space and in the public space, creating specific works for specific contexts. His work materials are wood and ceramics to which he sometimes incorporates objects from different origins creating pieces that show a fusion of imaginary objects. He also developed a walk system to find objects and to transfer them to artistic pieces. Keeping the memory of some areas, developing a kind of psicolandscapes or psicomaps.
Graduated at the San Carlos Faculty of Fine Arts in the Polytechnic University of Valencia, Spain in 1991 and at the University Autónoma Coahuila in Mexico 2019. His work has been presented in solo exhibitions reciently at: Antonia Puyó Gallery, Zaragoza; V54 AIR Hong Kong; Casal Solleric, Palma de Mallorca; Hilvaria Studios, The Netherlands; CCA of Andratx; Insel Hombroich Foundation, Germany. He has participated in international events as the 2nd and 3rd BIAB Beijing International Art Biennale, China; 2nd Mediterranean Biennial, Dubrovnik, Croatia; Busan International Print art Festival de Corea; IEEB 4 International Experimental Engraving Biennial a Bucarest; SEA International Sculpture Symposium of Alicante and Cerco 2019 in Zaragoza. He lives and works in Mallorca.

Marcos Vidal es un escultor poco ortodoxo. Inspirado al inicio por una práctica dadaísta, su obra se desarrolla y concreta en un diálogo crítico con los objetos, muy a menudo muebles. Vidal experimenta con la ubicación de éstos en el espacio de exhibición y así como en el espacio público, creando obras específicas para contextos concretos. Sus materiales de trabajo son la madera y la cerámica a los que incorpora en ocasiones objetos de diversa procedencia creando piezas que muestran una fusión de objetos imaginados. También ha desarrollado un sistema de caminar para encontrar objetos y transferirlos a piezas artisticas. Guardando la memoria de algunos lugares. Creando una especie de psicopaisajes o psicomapas.
Su obra se ha presentado en exposiciones individuales: Galería Antonia Puyó, Zaragoza; Residencia V54 en Hong Kong; Casal Solleric, Palma de Mallorca; Hilvaria Studios, Holanda; Capella de la Misericordia del Consell de Mallorca; CCA de Andratx; Fundación Insel Hombroich, Alemania. Ha participado en eventos internacionales como; la 2. y 3. BIAB Beijing International Art Biennale, China; 2. Bienal Mediterránea, Dubrovnik, Croacia; el Busan international print art Festival de Corea; IEEB 4 International Experimental Engraving Biennial en Bucarest; SEA Simposium Internacional de Escultura de Alicante y Cerco 2019 en Zaragoza. Reside y trabaja en Mallorca.

També va desenvolupar un sistema de caminar per trobar objectes i transferir-los a peces artístiques. Guardant la memoria dels indrets. Creant una mena de psícomapes o psícomapes.
